Geu-Ru. Hong, MD, PhD is a Professor at the division of Cardiology of Yonsei University, College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea.
Dr Hong is a graduate of Yeungnam University Medical School Daegu, Korea. He trained in internal medicine at the Yeungnam University Medical Center. He finished cardiology fellowship at the Yeungnam University Medical Center and Yonsei University Severance Hospital, Seoul, Korea. He obtained a Ph.D, in Doctor of Medicine (Cardiovascular Medicine) from Yeungnam University in 2002. Dr Hong has a sub-speciality board certification in cardiology. He was a post-doctoral as a researcher in Ohio State University, Columbus, in the USA. He was a clinical research fellow at the University of California, Irvine, CA, in the USA. Perviously, Dr Hong was appointed the Associate Professor of Medicine at the Yeungnam University at Daegu from 2010-2012. Since 2012, he is the Professor at the Yonsei University.
